Deer Stalking Humane Management LTD3.png

Deer Management

Efficient deer management is crucial for safeguarding crops and timber production. Our methods focus on humane population control to reduce damage caused by deer to the UK's valuable farming sector whilst mitigating road collisions and disease risks associated with over populating wild deer.

Crop Damage

Deer cause crop damage, particularly during the growing season, leading to reduced yields and potential economic losses for farmers. Deer also trample crops and can damage timber production by stripping bark and eating the top of saplings.

Disease

Deer overpopulation can exacerbate the spread of certain diseases, particularly tick-borne illnesses and chronic wasting disease (CWD). High deer densities increase tick populations, which can transmit diseases like Lyme disease to humans and other animals.

Road Collisions

Deer overpopulation in the UK is significantly contributing to an increase in deer-vehicle collisions, causing both animal welfare issues and human safety concerns. The rising deer population, coupled with increased traffic volume and speed, creates a dangerous situation.

If you need help or have questions regarding the management of deer on your property (in South East Essex), please contact us and we would be happy to offer guidance and help manage the deer population on your land.
